What is the differance in Mac’s & Pc’s for making music

Mainly the difference would be in the software choices and the hardware capabilities of the particular machines you have in mind.
I am not a musician but have a copy of Sony (formerly Sonic Foundry) ACID Pro…. I use it for my own fun…. it’s only for Windows, however. My son uses a laptop from school – an Apple iBook, with Garage Band loaded on it, and that is Mac only. However, they are both using the same basic concept of loop-based music construction.
Traditionally, the Mac has been better suited to creative work like audio and video production, as well as desktop publishing and graphics, but the PC has been catching up.
Ultimately, you would want to compare the specs of both groups of machines, as well as read some reviews of software on both platforms, and make your decision based on that research and what your own requirements are.
