Ok so I am wondering which would be better for the plan I am going with. I plan on being a Professional Musician, in the order of 1. My Own Band or 2. Orchestral/Jazz/Whatever Band. My fall back is to do something with music, like Conducting or working in a recording company or such. Which would be a better choice?

Major in business. You will learn specific material, whereas it is easier to develop music talent on your own or with a private teacher.

The business major will also be an important fallback if your music endeavors do not succeed. My brother would prefer to play music as his career, but the realities of the situation are that he supports his family with another profession and plays in a band on weekends when the gigs are available. I hope you are more talented than he is. Best wishes.
