McNeese State University Fall commencement planned
Lake Charles, La. — More than 700 students will walk to the music of ÒPomp and CircumstanceÓ and receive their diplomas at the McNeese State University fall commencement ceremony set for 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, at Burton Coliseum.

Pow Party, Aspen ski club bash help kick off season
ASPEN — Two big parties are coming up this weekend to help celebrate the arrival of ski season. Powdertothepeople.org, a local nonprofit, will hold its fifth annual Pow Party FUNraiser from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eagles Club, 700 E. Bleeker St. in Aspen.
