In my opinion, Indie music is keeping the music alive. There are some bands like the White Stripes are making innovative and original music.
Mainstream music is alright to sell your music to people who don’t know true popular music is. The problem is when this genre of music is over because this generation is getting older, it isn’t good no more.
Tell it to the artists in the 80’s and 90’s. Do everybody know Aarron Carter is?

I haven’t listened to the radio since about high school, most mainstream music is so generic and uninspired it drove me to search the underground except a handful of artists like Outkast and Vampire Weekend. anywho Indie wins for me any day
