legal advice on a music contract ??? URGENT?
Question by : legal advice on a music contract ??? URGENT?
I am seeking legal advice on leaving a music contract . I have been advised not to partake any plans they make on my behalf until I’ve seeked the advice i need. I’ve sent a letter to tell them I’m seeking legal advice. The label have told me i have to take part in these scheduled rehearsals/studio sessions while i’m seeking the advice though the reason i am seeking legal advice is because they stopped giving me studio sessions and have not kept promises and honored the contract previously. Now they are trying to turn things around and make it look as though i am not honoring the contract. Does anybody know if it is in their right to make me partake in the plans they are making after the letter was sent out a day ago?

You should meet with your record contract leaders and ask what they want to do. If you don’t hear what you want, explain that you will seek legal counsel.
It does not say here exactly what it is they reneged on. If they have reneged, you need to bring proof of burden with you to the meeting before the lawyerfest.
