Elk Grove native Ben DeWald dies
Benjamin Raymond (Ben) DeWald, native and lifelong resident of Elk Grove died March 1, 2011, just a couple of weeks after his 90th birthday. It was in Elk Grove on Feb. 17, 1921 in a home on 2nd Avenue that Jessie Baker delivered Ben to his parents, Daniel and Lydia DeWald.
