Kayakers Safe After Cazenovia Creek Mishap
The East Aurora Police and Fire departments responded on Wednesday (April 20) to the scene of an emergency on Cazenovia Creek in the Town of Aurora. Twenty-year-old Bennet J. Collins of East Aurora called 911 to report that he and 19-year-old Constantine Goebler of Germany had been kayaking when Goebler’s kayak overturned.

Troopers Make Arrests in Elma, Marilla, Wales and Holland Following Sabres Home Game
The New York State Police had extra patrols working to enforce the vehicle and traffic laws following the Sabres vs. Flyers home playoff hockey game on Monday night, April 18. Troopers stopped a vehicle on Bullis Road in Elma for a traffic violation. Further investigation led to the arrest of the operator, a 54-year-old Elma man, on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Trivia Night will Benefit Parkdale Programs
Few have felt the pinch of hard times more than the school systems, and East Aurora schools are facing extensive cuts. The schools’ parent-teacher organizations are stepping up to support the schools throughout this budget crisis.
