Question by Elwood Blues: Is there any schools that teaches music/acting that would accept a student with a low GPA?
I would to get into the music/acting business BADLY! I recently got withdrawn from my community college due to a low GPA and not getting enough credits for financial aid. I was going for a Math/Science degree, but want to get into the arts. Will anyone accept me? Thank you!

I would definately try going to another community college or junior college first. Try to build up your GPA a little, take some basic courses in the arts, and core curriculum classes. ALSO, do some community/volunteer work or other extracurriculars that show that you’re involved. If you show that you’re a hard worker/dedicated yet lack the outstanding GPA more schools will be willing to give you a chance… However, I cannot stress enough that no matter what your field is, you will not succeed unless you are willing to put in the work and time required. And remember, Music and Acting are two very different programs and are separated in different departments at colleges. And on top of that, both require a LOT of outside work besides your basic studies… But, it can be done.
