Hey everyone, I was just wondering if it was illegal to download music and movies and videos from frostwire and other programs like that. i know that artists lose money when people do that but the copyright notices at the beginning of movies only say “distribution” of things, so im confused. also, if it is illegal, how likely is it that you’ll get caught? thanks!!!

The thing is, if you download it from P2P programs, after you download it, you distribute it to others and when your downloading it your also sharing it with others. So your distributing in a way. Theres a really slim chance you’ll get caught. Don’t download movies from P2P programs like limewire or frostwire. Use utorrent and isohunt.com, even for music.
