Is a verbal agreement binding if there is also a contract involved not yet signed?
Question by Samantha: Is a verbal agreement binding if there is also a contract involved not yet signed?
I rented a parking spot in a garage and the owner and I had a verbal agreement that I would pay for the spot by the fifth every month and turn in the contract signed at my convenience. However, his business partner parked in the spot and now I’m stuck wondering if I can tow the car if I had paid already but haven’t given the contract back to him. I would like to know asap b/c I would have to wait until tomorrow before I can speak with the owner. Thanks in advance.

Yes. A verbal contract is binding. The problem with verbal contracts, however, is PROVING it.
