Is a college education all that important anymore?

Question by teambargain: Is a college education all that important anymore?
~ I went to college and am not using my education for the current work I am doing. My sister and brother n law both went to Manhatten School of Music forever. Now they own their own Publishing Company. ~ anyone else not using their education?
I actually don’t know why I bothered asking this question. I don’t need a lecture in education, I just know 67 % of my friends didn’t go to college and they either own their own successful dot com companies or some other company and education wasn’t needed. I don’t think you need education to get ahead. I think if you apply yourself, and work hard you can acheive most things. Actually my sister and bro inlaw, have traveled with Phanom of the Opera, and Les Mis. For years, and have played with many many musical celebrities. They still do this, and just came back from India performing for a very important figure there. This is a hobby, nice hobby to have huh?
To the chic that said my degree was a waste…. I don’t think so, I actually started my own company if you go to my 360 you would get a taste of what I do. I don’t do it for the money…. honey get life bitcvh
