Question by Country_Woman_TX: Is a bet considered an enforceable contract? What if it’s written and signed by both parties?
i.e. can a reneger be sued for non-performance of a verbal contract?
Everybody seems to assume the bet is in some way illegal. I’m talking about me and next door neighbor betting on a basketball game in the confines of my home (for example). Say it’s also witnessed by 3 others.
