Are you still obligated to pay them anyways? Rent a tv at a rent to own store, they never make you sign any contract or paperwork, and you pay them the original cash price plus taxes…then are they SOL at this point?

That is when ethics come into play in order for them to sue you or attempt to collect fees they have to have proper documentation so If you did not sign anything I don’t know how it will hold up in court but if you admit it was a verbal agreement and you acknowledging under oath you were suppose to pay it back then you may be held responsible. But to ask question like this is where ETHICS comes into play, I order to build character do what is right always if you know you owe be responsible and pay .
