I write songs and make beats. How do I become a music producer and sell my material?
Question by C O: I write songs and make beats. How do I become a music producer and sell my material?
I’ve been writing songs and making beats for years now but haven’t had an oppurtunity to sell them for signed or new artists looking for good material or anyone that just like to listen to music (i.e. DJ Clue, Kid Capri etc.). How do I go about doing this? How can I market myself to artists looking for new music for upcoming projects?
I can make beats for hip hop, r&b, reggae and pop. How do I go about selling them to artists or new artists looking for music?

Don’t do anything until you have copyrights on all of your material. If you go to any producer or try to produce your own music without a copyright then other people can steal your material. And if they place a copyright on it before you do then it legally becomes there’s.
