Question by Sarah: I want to buy a present for someone who wants to become a music producer?
I don’t know what does a music producer do. And the person I want to buy him a present, does not have any back ground in music.
what music instrument should I get him? an instrument that is not hard to learn.

if he watns to be a music producer then there is a variety of things you can get him. First i would ask him what he wants. Good items would be studio speakers (£200 – £500) music creation/produciton software like Cubase 5 (for PC) and logic pro (MAC) and the best one is pro tools which is for both. It really depends what he wants or needs at most. Music producers want to PRODUCE music they dont genearly need to play an instument. Also it depends how much you are willing to spend, you could buy a computer specifically built for music for around 1,000 – 2,000.
