I want to become a lyricist, produce beats, and become an artist. I was planning on going to Chico and majoring in Music Industry & Technology, but I can’t go no more cause of grades… But I have a chance to transfer to UCLA and I know they have a good music program. I want to know what steps are necessary to make music and get it exposed. I know its REALLY COMPETITIVE, but I love music a lot and I want to make some. What should I do, how should I do it, and where can I learn?
I don’t want to be a rapper -_- I want to create bgm for different genres of music like pop, R&B, hip-hop, rap, funk etc…

download FL Studio 9 and get rapping.
Upload songs and YouTube to gain awareness and popularity
Then you might get a record deal
then you may be bigger than Eminem
