i need an experienced musicians help, with a decision that i find quite difficult?

Question by indoor_band_drummer: i need an experienced musicians help, with a decision that i find quite difficult?
To start at the begining, i was put on a behavior contract because the school thought that my method of coping was a bad way to deal with a situation. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it or not, but the activity is called Indoor Percussion, founded by Ralph Hardimon. I didn’t have the best run that i had had that season, and my method of coping was going back to the room where our things were, and drumming, and this is what i was put on a behavior contract for. I followed said behavior contract for about a week, until on day i forgot my music theory book at the school, and my band director took it as a slap in the face that i had done everyone else’s homework but his. On the other hand, i’m kind of glad that i was able to hurt his feelings, and if you message my email account after this i’ll be more than happy to tell you why. He viewed this as disrespectful, and granted i can see why, and i’m not mad at him, but he took me out of the Winter Percussion activity (indoor). I am also in Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and Music Theory. He made it quite clear to me that i shouldn’t have a career in music, and i am at a stand still. Do i contimue to play the Piano in jazz band (which, not to toot my own horn, but i believe myself to play quite well), or do i withdraw from the class, and never play piano again. I would however like to say that i have had days which i’ve looked down at my Roman Numeral Analysis and wondered, why did i ever take this up, for about the past five months. There were however, other days in which i was completely satisfied with my situation. I thought that my career after high school would be music oriented, but not anymore. I am at a loss, and i don’t know what i should do. So, in a way, i’m asking for the answer to more than just one question, but i would really appreciate some guidance. Thank you.

musicians are a strange breed, were all different, you just ended up with an asshat teacher, don’t worry about it and keep going, the way things are going nowadays the asshat will be looking for a new job soon and be lucky to get a job at McDonald’s because he was never able to become a performing musician and had to teach to pay the bills, I had one of those weenies a long time ago, actually tried to talk to me at an open mike nite years later and I had to embarrass him, as in dude you were a crappy teacher and you really should stick to teaching little girls that dont have any talent like yourself, why are you talking to me, you kicked me out cause I smelled like weed
