How to get a bar’s “3:00am License” revoked? We keep calling in noise complaints but nothing happens!?
Question by ♥ ☺ Sorry… I’m a girl! ☺ ♥: How to get a bar’s “3:00am License” revoked? We keep calling in noise complaints but nothing happens!?
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING OR DO NOT ANSWER.
I’m getting so sick of this bullshit. I lived here for 4 years before the bar opened! They have 100 drunken retards screaming right below my bedroom window until 3:00am… The floor of our bathroom vibrates and when we ask them to turn the music down, they either tell us that they will and then they turn it down a single click or they actually tell us that their stereo system doesn’t HAVE a volume control.
First I try to be nice and call down there to ask them to keep their patrons under control and usually they will go outside and ask them to keep things down a bit… But sometimes a sarcastic assh0le will start mouthing off to me! He said I could get a bullhorn and ask them myself from my bedroom window…
I’m actually thinking about doing that… Do you think management would get mad if I opened my window or went to my patio and started screaming:
“Will you drunken fucktards please shut the hell up before I call the cops again!?!? By the way, I am taking license plate numbers and taking pictures from my window so if you drive drunk, expect to be reported! How-You’ Like Me Now?!”
Once it starts getting cold out, everything moves inside and the music goes up so loud that when you are in the bar, you literally can’t even talk to the person next to you without screaming… I don’t understand how anyone can drink down there when you are basically assaulted by a wall of sound that prevents you from interacting with your friends unless it is in hand signals.
They will have the smokers stand right under my bedroom window to smoke so the tobacco smoke comes right in to my bedroom window… They won’t move it because they have a tall heater and don’t want to put it under the wood of the covered area because it would be a fire hazard. I ask them to move them and they refuse.
The guy that lives across the hall from us is directly over their bar area and he has told the landlord flat out that if he ever moves, his apartment will be turned in to a storage room because no person on earth would be willing to pay market price for that apartment and put up with this bullshit.
The worst part? The employees will drink at the bar and I am never sure who is working and who is just there to get trashed… They don’t cut off their patrons drinks no matter how wasted they get and they allow them to go to their cars and drive off… The road turns in to a One Way street on our side of the intersection but people are too drunk to realize that and are constantly turning left on to the one way street and almost getting in head on crashes with people making turns on to the streets…
It is just crazy!
I call the cops and file noise complaints but after the cops leave, 5 min’s later the noise is where it was before.
Should I call the city? Should I email my local paper?
Other then just continuously calling the cops on these people, what would you recommend we do?
I can’t move… We don’t have the money because our company is in the shitterdue to the collapse of the housing market…
I am FORCED to live here… For at least until spring/summer…
What would you do if you had to put up with this??
p.s. I’ve lived here 5.5 years, the bar has only been open for about 2 so PLEASE no bullshit about “You should have known better then to move above a bar”.
