Question by irishdreamer11: How popular and profitable is a music management career?
What I want to know is:
is it worth it to be a manager in the music industry?
Is it still a popular field?

Chances are you won’t make money as a manager or working in the music industry at all. The artist that you manage better be making some good money for you to even make a profit. Managers usually take 15-20 percent of an artist’s earnings.
I would stay away from it. Go to a prestigious university, get a real degree and you’ll be fine.
