I loved watching his face light up when she sang, but I also think part of it was dollar signs going off in head. Susan could make millions just by releasing a song or two on iTunes. How much of a cut does Simon get for all this? I hear he gets about as much as the singer.

Simon is already very wealthy and I believe he has passed the “greed” stage and is now a very benevolent benefactor to new talent. I say this because he allowed Leona Lewis an entire year to find her way and he has done very well by Paul Potts, allowing Paul to do what is comfortable to him and not trying to change him unduly. He is also helping Rhydian and many others. It all costs him in time and money. Why shouldn’t he get a cut? In America, he is helpful behind the scenes in making sure any real talent gets seen by the right people, that be benefits financially should not be held against him. He is opening doors for aspiring talent that would have eventually opened, but at what cost? Simon is helping people live their dream. God bless him, I don’t deny him a farthing, let him reap financial rewards and realize his own dreams as he allows them to live their dreams.
