Question by rasta: How do partnerships between record labels work?
I am considering starting a small record label. I want my business model to involve partnerships with other small international record labels.

This is a very broad question, but I’m going to give you some ideas:

Share Expenses;
-share studio sessions
-get videos shot on same day by same company
-get CDs made at the same time by same company for higher bulk pricing

Income Sharing:
-collab on albums/songs and both labels sell
-joint publishing company
-create music showcases
