How do I become a pop artist?

Question by ian d: How do I become a pop artist?
im 14 and i will be taking vocal lessons. i also play some instruments: guitar, piano, and drums.

I would like to ask how do i sign up for a contract with any music label?

I have no experience with this but if you could give me some info that would be helpfull thanks 🙂

You first have to get yourself known. Start making songs and recording them, you can probably be a one person band. Then post songs up on myspace and add friends in your area and people you don’t know. When people start liking you and your songs go and find people that will help you play live. Then go to local clubs and venues and schedule to play there. Then music labels will start noticing you.
