i reside in the atlanta, ga area. i have a 58-song collection. however, i don’t have the funding to make a demo recording of my songs.

You can look for investors to help pay for the demo. Most record labels will not accept unsolicited demos anyway. My suggestion would be to raise some money (via investors) and make some CDs. Sell the CDs and continue to make music and repeat selling the new music on CDs. If you are lucky, someone from a label will notice.
Another option is to hire an agent.
