Question by mookie1510: How can I obtain a music license?
I would like to produce music compilations/mixes and sell them. What licenses do I need to do this? I want to be 100% legal, but I don’t speak lawyer-ese so I’m terribly confused by the horribly dense online literature.

Please explain what steps I need to go through in order to sell these mixes to the public.

This is a bad idea. You will need to shell out tons of money. If you are asking about this on Yahoo answers that means you don’t a thing about business. Not a good idea.
