Hey Britlyn,

Like it or not at your age you will need your parents help to really pursue an entertainment career at age 13. My advice would be to find ways of singing live every chance you get even if it is with the school choir.

It is also important that you learn how to sing correctly because even if you think your voice is perfect a good vocal coach can teach you how to sing in a way that doesn’t damage your voice which will happen to you if you sing for a living and do so incorrectly.

I know of many booking agencies and artist managers but I think you have to have a great deal more in place such as a professional recording, a history of performing in front of people, compelling video and professional photos of you on a website towards demonstrating to the world how talented you are before they would be interested.

I know that’s probably not the news you wanted to hear but there are no shortcuts. it isn’t as simple as meeting a booking agent and then getting an opening tour for a big act… It takes lots and lots of work.
