HMU approves design contract; costs down on new headquarters
HARLAN — With an estimated cost under $ 3-million as requested, the Harlan Municipal Utilities board of trustees approved a design architectural contract and gave directions on which proposed schematic they liked for the new HMU headquarters and head-in facility.

Contract for downtown study OK’d
With hopes of bringing investor money into Old Town redevelopment efforts, the Lompoc Council voted 3-0 to pay $ 10,000 for a feasibility analysis. Mayor John Linn and Councilman Dirk Starbuck recused themselves from the decision, as they both own downtown property.
