Question by John: Help with a recording contract with minors?
My band has a few indie record deals interested in us. We are planning to enter a contract with one, but don’t have money for a lawyer.
All of the band members are minors (around 15). They would record us, edit the audio, and release our album.
We live in Kansas, if that would have any effect on legal procedure and rules.

Can anyone tell us what laws are regarding this, how to write one, and any other information that might be useful?

All of our parents are ok with this and they know they will have to sign it. But from what I have heard, only permission is needed.

sorry the laws in all states i know of say you have to be at least 18 years old to enter in to a contract UNLESS you have your parents permission?? they will have to sign for you??
