Question by stevedziembowski: Has any promotion ever tried a shoot-style “Royal Rumble”, and if not, what would one be like?
With actual secret, random ordering, and 30 professional wrestlers complete with lights/music/costumes who actually don’t WANT to get thrown out of the ring. Would the biggest man win every time? Would the last man win every time? Would it be 30 grown men laying down in a ring to not get thrown out? I either want a more real Royal Rumble or for UFC to treat everything before and after a fight exactly like 1992 WWF.

back in the bad old days (80’s & early 90’s) the nwa and wwf had events that were similar to the royal rumble they were battle royals. the matches usually lasted over an hour and all the participants started at the same time. they beat on each other til they either got pinned or submitted. then they were unceremoniously thrown out. and you really wondered who would win. but alas it was usually the really big guys or the dirty players. (ric flair…lol)
