Well, bust my breeches and whatta ya know, here I am again, fresh as apple pie and good as new (stop laughing and let me suck on that one for at least a little while, will ya, cause it sounded too good to dismiss, lol!). So without further babbling, let’s get down to the real nitty gritty & get some rockin’ goin’ on here (I’ve got more than this one comin’ up for ya in just awhile, so keep the safety belts on, for goodness sake!)). First off…here’s the ORIGINAL version of “The King Of Rock’n Roll”, without the extra added drums and other garbage that I added in a state of mental confusion (?) in the disco drenched mid ’80s and which you’ve no doubt have already spotted somewhere else here on YT, uploaded by my good friend Jesper (peps088). The version here though is the REAL scaled down one the way it sounded after completion some time back in the glorious happy-go-lucky moments I used to have in the late part of the ’70s (those were the days, sigh!). The drums you might be able to recognise here is in fact a sheet of cardboard box taped onto a snare drum (didn’t I say I was in a ‘mental state of confusion’, huh?!). And the mysteries sounding solo in the last verse is NOT a synth, but my beloved Gretsch (long gone now but not forgotten, sob, sob!) running through a pitch shifting device of some obscure origin …
