Gus Johns was a pearl in the necklace of charms at the Earl of Old Town.The historic folk music club at 1615 N. Wells was the launching pad for Steve Goodman, Bonnie Koloc, John Prine and many others. The club opened in March 1962.Mr. Johns was the longtime bartender, cook and doorman.
