Free filesharing of music good or bad?
Question by SoF10: Free filesharing of music good or bad?
I think the music corporations deserve it, but just a thought. Not really deserve it, I just think that music companies control way to much what we have access to that now it is more balanced. Only the really good albums are bought anymore, the rest of the filler and MTV/Clear Channel pseudo-music just gets downloaded then erased. The artists that do not get equal radio or television promotion have a better chance of being heard on the internet which is great. I think music companies are just scared that they can’t compete with the competition of the internet. I’m just rambling after lack of sleep, but I was reading the Tiscali investigation and it set me off.

While its technically illegal, the consumers will tend to go for change where it is necessary. Obviously the supply and demand for music makes file sharing popular… easy access, really no limits to copying and using on other mediums. RIAA really needs to be back down from suing people and realize they have a big online consumer market if they use it wisely. Just look at the popularity of iTunes
