Finance agreement advice?
Question by ksallyb86: Finance agreement advice?
I need help please…I had a photoshoot experience 10 days ago and signed a finance agreement. In the finance contract it states I have a 14 day withdrawal period. I have had the photos thorugh the post and are not happy with them so want to send them back and cancel the finance agreement. I contacted the finance company (Barclays) who said i can cancel the finance contract but when i contacted the photo studio they said I’d have to pay a one lump sum of how much I owe which is £614. I told them I didnt like the photos so I didnt want to pay for something Im not happy with. They did offer to make any changes (airbrushing etc) to the photos i received free of charge but this still doesnt help me as I dont want the photos anymore. I have also contacted my bank and the direct debit mandate has not yet come through to them so they have no record of a finance agreement going through.
Can anyone help me with this????

Basically, I think you made a mistake by not asking the right questions up front. You may be able to cancel the finance agreement before 14 days are up, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to pay for the pictures. It just means that you can cancel the loan. I think you got scammed. If you can prove that they told you that you could get your money back if you weren’t satisfied, you can sue them. But otherwise, you’re out of luck. Sorry the news is not better.
