Feedback on the Dell Inspiron 15?
Question by Liziam512: Feedback on the Dell Inspiron 15?
I ordered one today. After customizing, the entire bill came to just over $ 1,300. The deal is I get 6 months interest free and then after 6 months, if I haven’t paid it off, all the interest from the 6 months gets dumped onto my total. That puts my payments at about $ 225 a month (if I pay it within 6 months), which I’m a little unsure of. But I will find a way if I really want to. The interest would be pretty high once it would start. Something like 23%.
I did get a lot of good options… some of which you have to get if you want the interest free promotion deal. I’m not sure what all they added for the promo but I know they upgraded the memory and hard drive space.
I need this thing for college. I’m taking health science at an online university and they require MS Office, which is part of why that price is so high (I think that was $ 150). Also, I picked the best coverage for 4 years (even if I drop or spill something on it) which was over $ 200. Another $ 80 for the wireless router. I also upgraded the battery from 6 to 9 cell. I like the sound of this computer but I wonder if I’m paying more than I have to.
What I’m interested in, other than the MS Office, is the coverage (which sounds great if there’s no catch), the battery life, and my ability to use it for school (which is why I’m getting it).
I don’t PLAN on using it for music and pics but I know I’ll eventually cave on that.
I’m not really into pc games… my favorite is the free online version of Chuzzle. So I don’t need graphics or memory for that.
I have been reading (multiple) comments from people who say the keyboards on these are crappy… which would be a problem since I’ll be typing on it frequently for school.
Are there any other issues I should know about concerning this computer or any suggestions where I might go that will give me a credit line and a good deal?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. =)
