Elma Residents Plan to Buy Continental Building
Two local residents are expected to be the new owners of the industrial building in Elma that was once the home of Motorola and Continental Automotive Systems. The buyers’ early plans are to lease sections of the plant to businesses with back office facilities.

It is a story similar to other business success stories. The company began out of a garage, this one belonging to the owner’s mother. There was little pay, lots of work and much on-the-job learning, probably a good chance for failure. But like those other stories, hard work and help from others led it to grow out of the garage, expand significantly and celebrate its 30th anniversary this year.
