East County school districts brace for budget cuts
Several East Contra Costa school districts have given teachers layoff notices in anticipation of potential state budget cuts to education. Antioch Unified, the region’s largest district, gave out 50 notices to teachers and Liberty Union distributed 21 pink slips.
