EAHS Prepares for ‘Seussical’
East Aurora High School will present “Seussical, The Musical” Feb. 11 through 13 at the High School auditorium. Director Chris Cummins, in his second time at the helm, oversees upwards of 150 students in the production, based on characters in several of Dr. Seuss’ books.

Elma Board Postpones Action on Housing Plan
Although Town of Elma public officials often decry a lack of affordable senior housing opportunities available in town and the adjacent area, any action to get the ball rolling and construct such housing in Elma is moving along at a snail’s pace.

Auditors Cancel Meeting with Holland School Board
It was the meeting that never came to be at Holland Central. Last week a special meeting was called to discuss—in what could have been an improper executive session—the state’s audit of school finances. But less than an hour before the meeting, state auditors canceled their appearance, reportedly stating they did not like that there would be any form of an open public meeting.

Group will Raise Funds to Preserve Open Space in Aurora
If the funds are raised, the land can be bought. That stipulation is the main clause of the contract between two Mill Road residents and a volunteer committee seeking to purchase 60 acres of land to keep as open space.
