Does any know if you can transfer for a minor degree in college?
Question by D-REZ: Does any know if you can transfer for a minor degree in college?
I’m planning to major in music and minor in business. The university that I plan to transfer to from the community college I’m at right now offers a huge and very wonderful music degree. But it doesn’t offer very good business courses. But there is another college that’s nothing but business and offers every thing that I need for my business minor. So is it possible to get your major of something and then transfer to another university and get the courses for your minor?

No it is impossible, because universities and colleges don’t allow 2 year degrees. A minor is basically a 2 year degree with 4 year degree. People would be doing this at Ivy League schools and top-tier schools if this was allowed. You can’t go I’m going for a minor at any school that is why people ask you what is your major when your go see a adviser or anybody else they won’t give you a minor without a major from their college or university ( bachelors ).
They make this impossible by allowing only some credits to transfer at most 64 credits from general education courses.
