Like Across the Universe…if you have the music of another artist, do you need the rights before selling it or does it not matter until the movie is being made?

That would probably be something that the company your selling it to had to deal with. You would probably go through the motions and they would decide if they want to buy it, then before they sign anything they would get the rights to the music.

I dont think they would buy it unless they had the rights.. there is always a chance they cant get them.
