I have always been interested in the music industry and wonder about all the different kinds of jobs that are available. Please let me know what you do, how did you get there, and how to find out more information on various different occupations in the music industry!!

I used to work in the music industry, more as a volunteer type deal, that just got the perks to go along with it. I was a promotions coordinator for an up and coming singer. I pretty much just got the job out of luck, after meeting his manager at a concert for one of her more well known (well very well known haha) talents. Several friends of mine who also worked with us are planning to go to university to get jobs in music managment, which is pretty much managing talent. Indiana State or University not sure which one I heard has one of the top music managment programs in the country. It’s pretty much a dream job. Depending on your age I would just search around for exactly what type of job you want and what you want to go. Who you would want to work with. A person can not exactly just go “I want to work in the music industry”, as there is way too much that goes into it.
