Do I need to buy permissive license to use classical pieces (Chopin) of music in my video game?

Question by Chowchow: Do I need to buy permissive license to use classical pieces (Chopin) of music in my video game?
I’m currently making a video game and curious about whether or not I need some sort of license to use music composed by Chopin in it. I would play the recording used in the game.

If you play it yourself, you are only concerned about copyright. If the music is more than a hundred years old, copyright does not apply. If the music is played by someone else, you need a license.
