Do I have a legal case if someone breaks a verbal agreement (contract)?

Question by Francisco: Do I have a legal case if someone breaks a verbal agreement (contract)?
I am coach, and as a coach I am an independent contractor. I was told that I was going to get pay $ 2500 winter, $ 3000 Fall and $ 3000 for Spring season. They only pay me $ 2500 for Fall and $ 2500 for Winter, they basesicly fired me. Do I have a case to get pay the $ 500 from Fall and $ 3000 from the Spring, since they broke the verbal agreement? I have emails that break down the contract payments.

Then you have more than a verbal agreement. You have emails to back it up. Off to Small Claims court for you.
