Question by xearf_09: Definition of a condition as it pertains to “performance and discharge”?
My textbook defines a “condition” as…

“a possible future event the occurrence or non-occurrence of which will trigger the performance of a legal duty or terminate an existing duty under a contract”

lolwut? What is this saying?

It sounds to me like it’s an “if, then” type of statement, whereas “if Alfred A. Chicktoucher cheats on his wife, then the marriage can be dissolved” type of thing. Basically outlines what a person must or cannot do in a contract for it to remain valid or not be penalized.
