Would it make sense if i came up with a company name that ended with the word (promotions)? because i dont see any companys that end like this in concert promoting.. example.. power music productions..?

Yes promotions and productions are both used. Make sure you search to make sure the name you use is not found, use google, msn to do a search. Most companies that deal in music and film are not advertised in general to the public, they are advertised in media that suits thier specialty. They are not usually listed in the phone book either if you take a look.
