so i am starting a label and YES i am getting a music lawyer and we are doing everything legit, but i just want to know i ENGLISH what these things mean…
ASSIGNMENT BY LABEL
Prior to the completion of the recording, the rights and obligations of the company existing hereunder are personal and unique, and shall not be assigned without prior written consent of the arist. Subsequent to the completion of the recording, company may assign its rights and obligations existing without the consent of the arist.

The musicians must perform and cannot assign that duty to some other musician. The label must produce the recording and cannot assign that duty to someone else, but once the recording is made the label can sell all of its rights to someone else.
