Can i still become a Business Management Major ?
Question by Mike S: Can i still become a Business Management Major ?
Okay, so i started college at a 2 year College, because i want to save money, so i can move on to a very good University. The thing is, I started a few days ago. They gave me courses, but they’re so not related to the major I want to do. I have Music, Art, and English. It has nothing to do with Business Management. Does this mean, if I take these courses, they will transfer, but I won’t be able to do Business ?…. Do i have to do an art or music major ?…

These courses are known as general education curriculum (GEC) courses (liberal arts). They are often required for most 4 year degrees including Business degrees. Once you transfer to a 4-year college you will have these out of the way (after you complete your Associate’s degree). I would try to go to a college that has an “Articulation Agreement” with your community college to ensure most/all of your credits transfer.
Once you are at the 4-year school as a junior you will begin to take most of your core business courses along with the required management specialization courses. Good luck!
