Question by sim24: Can an employer break a contract with employee? My husband has a written contract but the company is having ?
financial difficulties and now is planning to cut all employees, including his, salaries, medical and pension benefits, regardless of his contract. Can they do this?
The company is not going to go under. It is a non-profit and they have a lot of money in investments/endowments but they don’t want to use that money.

Depends on the contract. If he had a good lawyer when it was made, I’d say no they can’t. Try to negotiate if not.
