Can a landlord cancel the contract agreement at the last minute?
Question by miams: Can a landlord cancel the contract agreement at the last minute?
I already sign the contract papers for a 1 year lease with this apt, but the owner simply changed her mind at the last minute not wanting to rent the apt to me for no reasonable reason. Now i am living in my current apt paying day by day because my lease is already up and will be homeless in 2 weeks, because my current landlord already found someone to rent this apt. So, do i have any rights as a tenant? I mean, i packed my things, paid my deposit, paid the association fees of $ 100 and now i dont have an apt because my supposedly to be landlord changed her mind. What should i do?

No, he can’t do that.
Because if the situation was reversed, he would sue your pants off.
Tell your landlord that you will take him to court for EVERY single expense you occurred plus damages.
He is in breach of the contract.
Go get him!
