Question by Allysse: Becoming a music producer?
Obviously its not something that can just be achieved overnight, unless you have a lot of money. So really what I’m looking for is how people who don’t start out as signed artists get into the industry. What kinda of path should I take considering I am taking music technology courses?

Take as many courses you can in live sound (sound engineering), and recording engineering. Mix Magazine has lots of articles that may give you of some ideas in what you are looking for. You can read this magazine online, or receive various articles via e-mail.
