Question by dale_sndbrg: Are there companies that will obtain the rights for you to use copyrighted music in a video.?
I am making my classes senior video and want to use copyrighted music. From what I have deciphered from the mass of confusing music, I need a Master License, and a Synchronization License. Are there companies that you can hire to obtain the copyrights for the songs. We want to at least get the license for our class song (TBD). We want to distribute 100 copies of the DVD.

I would start by contacting the music clearinghouses, such as ASCAP and BMI.
