Borders’ bankruptcy forces closing of 2 isle stores
NEW YORK » Borders, slow to get the message as the big-box retailer lost book, music and video sales to the Internet and other competition, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy yesterday. It will close nearly a third of its stores, including outlets in Kailua-Kona and Lihue.
